The actors

• Bremergy e.V., the Formula Student Electric Team of the University of Bremen developed an electrically driven racing car.
• CONTACT Software is a software provider for product data, product lifecycle(PLM) and Internet of Things (IoT) Management. They networked the racing car via the CONTACT Elements platform where one monitor displayed the product structure in PLM and a second monitor visualised the operating data analysis on the IoT dashboard.
• BeamNG operated as the real-time vehicle simulation platform to get input data from the Bremergy racing car into the BeamNG environment and send the output data for IoT analysis, using its integrated MQTT protocol.
